ECCENTRIC SCREW PUMP

Eccentric screw pumps have an extremely wide range of applications and are used in all branches of industry for continuous, pressure-stable, gentle, pulsation-free and low-turbulence filter press feeding of almost all media. Furthermore, numerous user advantages enable economical use. The advantage for the operator is that the eccentric screw pump is a valve-less positive displacement pump which also safely transports fibrous materials. Whether sludge, chemical substances, adhesives, petroleum or yoghurt – an eccentric screw pump conveys all thin to viscous, neutral and aggressive media with and without solids or fibres. In addition, the eccentric screw pump is characterised by low investment, operating and maintenance costs.

DESIGN FEATURES OF THE ECCENTRIC SCREW PUMP

Due to its design, this feed pump is characterised in particular by its compactness and cost-effectiveness. Four rotor/stator geometries are available for the various products and applications. Self-priming positive displacement pumps consist of two conveying elements: the rotating eccentric screw and the stationary stator. The flexible material selection of rotor and stator material also provides an advantage when conveying abrasive media. The flow rate is proportional to the speed. If the number of stages is increased, the pump pressure increases proportionally. The design enables pumping in both directions and also high suction capacities. Thanks to material combinations for rotors and stators and gentle conveying with extremely low shear, the eccentric screw pumps are also ideally suited for measuring and metering tasks. Horizontal eccentric screw pumps can be combined with any drive; single-stage (6 bar), two-stage (12 bar) and four-stage (24 bar).
