Drip-proof filter plates (in gas-tight design (CGR)) are especially used when the filter chambers must be particularly tight during the filtration cycle. The filter plates are available with a variety of sealing materials such as EPDM, silicone, NBR and FKM depending on the durability requirements and individual customer requirements.

For the food and pharmaceutical industry, FDA-certified or EU-compliant seals are used accordingly. Sealed filter plates are mainly used in direct filtration filter presses for dewatering phosphate sludge.
